Toyota vows to fix poor Camry crash test result that irked Consumer Reports

Toyota vows to fix poor Camry crash test result that irked Consumer Reports

Many Toyota vehicles haven't been performing well in the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety's (IIHS) small overlap frontal crash test, and the Camry is one of them. The 2012 and 2013 Camry both received "Poor" ratings, IIHS' lowest rating, in the test, which spurred Consumer Reports to take the car off its "Recommended" list. In response to the low ratings in the small overlap frontal test, and in a bid to maintain its best-seller status, Toyota will make changes to the Camry to improve its IIHS safety rating and to enhance its design, The Detroit News reports.

The Elder Scrolls Online Launches On PC, Mac On April 4, 2014

We reported earlier this year the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 version of The Elder Scrolls Online will be released in spring 2014, but it looks like Bethesda Softworks has decided to switch things up as not only have they announced when the PC and Mac versions of the game will be released, but have also delayed the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions. Windows PC and Mac gamers who plan on adventuring through the world of The Elder Scrolls Online can proceed to do so starting April 4, 2014. Console players, on the other hand, won't get their hands on the game this spring as Bethesda previously indicated.

Sprint's Moto X now getting Android 4.4 KitKat (13.11.3Q2.X-69-3-8)

Sprint's Moto X seems to be receiving an upgrade today, but it doesn't look like your typical bug fixer and maintenance release. We're hearing murmurings that this thing is full-on KitKat, with all the great changes folks have been enjoying on other versions of the Moto X for a few weeks now. Sprint's Moto X already received the upgrade in the form of a Soak Test, but that went out to a very limited group of users.

The UK injunction won by Nokia against HTC gets suspended

HTC caught a break in its patent feud with Nokia in the UK. Slightly over a week after the initial judgment in the case, the Taiwanese manufacturer announced that it was granted a stay on the injunction against its products by the Court of Appeal in the UK. HTC will immediately resume UK shipment of its devices. The company has vowed to Â"aggressively appeal the validity decision of NokiaÂ's EP 0 998 024 patentÂ", while also pursuing alternative solutions with its chip suppliers.

HTC One mini was the first device to fall victim of NokiaÂ's court victory. The HTC One was also found to infringe on the Finnish companyÂ's patents.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Sells 10 Million Units In 60 Days

When a Samsung Galaxy device is let loose into the world, it tends to sell exceptionally well. Well, all except for its Galaxy Gear. But regardless of that, the majority of their smartphones tend to sell really well, which apparently is the case for its latest Galaxy Note 3 as Samsung says the device is their most successful of all of their Note phablets as it sold 10 million units within 60 days of its availability. . To compare, the Galaxy Note II took nearly twice as long to sell 10 million units, although the Galaxy Note 3's sales still don't beat out Samsung's Galaxy S4.

2014 Honda Civic Natural Gas, Hybrid on sale in February

When it announced official pricing and fuel economy data for the 2014 Civic , Honda conspicuously left out any mention of the Hybrid or Natural Gas models. On its retail site, Honda still lists the 2012 model year for the Natural Gas, so we reached out to the automaker for some clarification. Due to remaining inventory of the 2012 Civic Natural Gas, the 2013 model year was mostly sold to corporate and government fleets, and the 2012 still has a $3,000 gas card incentive that was introduced in October 2012.

Kia Sportage MSRP up by almost 14 percent for 2014, starting at $21,600*

When Kia introduced the updated 2014 Sportage back in September, one of the biggest things that stood out to us was that the base model was dropped. Not only did this mean the Sportage would no longer be offered with a manual gearbox, but we also expected a price increase to follow. We were right. The entry-level trim for the 2014 Sportage is now the LX, which starts at $21,600 (not including $850 for destination). This is only a $400 increase over the 2013 Sportage LX, but it represents a $2,600 jump (13.6 percent) in the Sportage's starting price point.

Nokia Ad Depicts Tough Phone Quality

Nokia Ad Depicts Tough Phone Quality

Back in the day, Nokia happened to be the 800lbs gorilla where mobile phones were concerned, and it seemed as though they could not put a foot wrong at all, being the main trendsetter and all that jazz. How the tables have turned over the years, but at least, they are doing a whole lot better than BlackBerry, as the latter seemed to have cornered just a few markets worldwide, dying a slow death. One thing that you have to hand over to Nokia for doing well, and that is the build quality of their phones, so much so that some classic handsets like the Nokia 3310 has become a famous meme breeding ground.

With the Sony PlayStation 4 being high in demand right now, tensions are understandably running pretty high and we suppose a great way to prank your friends is to trick them into thinking that you're about to smash their brand new PS4 console with a hammer in a game of roulette. Well this is pretty much what they attempted to do in a New Zealand television show which is hosted by comedians Jono and Ben. The idea is to try and prank Ben into thinking that his PS4 had gotten smashed in a game of roulette, but little did Jono know the tables were turned and well, we suppose this is something you'd have to check out for yourself.

Kiss Goodbye To Shock Mobile Bills

Have you ever experienced a bill shock before. Of course, to do so all by your very own actions is bad enough, but what happens when someone does it on your behalf because he or she has managed to take a ride on your phone line after stealing your handset, without you knowing anything about it. Hence, it is a relief to hear that the UK government has worked out a deal with EE, Three, Virgin Media and Vodafone so that these mobile carriers will cap bills on any cellphone that have been reported lost or stolen from next spring onward.

Panoz and DeltaWing suing Nissan over BladeGlider concept

Similarity is bound to occur in an industry where most of the products follow the same basic formula. But once in a while a new design comes along that doesn't quite reinvent the wheel, but comes pretty damn close. The DeltaWing project was one such design – and Nissan, the car's designers allege, stole that design. After the DeltaWing proposal was rejected by the IndyCar series, its creators took it to Le Mans and brought Nissan on board to supply the power.
