Sony hires new chief information security officer

This is an interesting trend – Sony has decided to hire a former official at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security for their latest post created – that of chief information security officer. This takes place a few months after Sony was on the receiving end of hacking attempts, having compromised information on a cool 100 million user accounts over its games networks. Apple too, as we reported earlier in the day, are looking for Product Security Managers after the second iPhone prototype got lost.
