Assassin's Creed III has been in development for more than three years, since Assassin's Creed II was released, and has eight studios working on it, according to Ubisoft. Tommy Francois, Assassin's Creed IP development director, explained to IncGamers, "We've had over three years of development and we've still get a few months to go. This is a Ubisoft Montreal production, but the game is being made by eight different studios across the world to support it.".
