Samsung has become the first company to officially announce a Windows Phone 8 device: it introduced the Samsung ATIV S earlier today in Berlin (after unveiling the Galaxy Note II with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean). The ATIV S is what we've previously known as the Samsung Odyssey. It features a 4.8 inch Super AMOLED HD display, HSPA+ 42Mbps (850x900x1900x2100 MHz), NFC, A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 3.0, 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, 1GB of RAM, 8MP rear camera with 1080p video recording and LED flash, 1.9MP front-facing camera, 16GB / 32GB of internal memory, MicroSD card support, and a 2,300 mAh battery.
