Arup And Altran Praxis To Provide Assessment Services On A Six Year Underground Signalling Upgrade Project

LONDON, September 6, 2012: Arup and Altran Praxis have won a £3.2 million contract with London Underground Limited (LUL) to ensure the safety of the six year signalling upgrade project on the Circle, District, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines (the so-called ‘Sub Surface Railway’ or SSR). The partners will conduct on-going independent safety assessment (ISA) and independent software assessment (ISwA) of all systems, development work and processes related to the signalling upgrade.
